"Selle d'Officier en Grande Tenue" or "Full Dress Officer's Saddle" by Wlodzimierz Kominski. This Hermès carré design is based on his 2008 design, "Selle d'Apparat Marocaine" and issued as this 70cm (27.5") petite sized carré in 2012. This 70cm x 70cm size issue is now rated as rare, and is highly sought after by Hermès collectors.
The colorway is stunning: an orange red and mint green border surrounding a yellow-green field on which is pictured in profile a cavalry officer's full dress saddle in shades of mint green, light sages, oranges, cinnabar, mahogany and corals. Contrasting hems are in yellow-green.
This scarf is in 9/10, pristine with little or no use condition (see our condition scale for reference). There are no spots, stains, pin holes, snags or thread runs. Hems are perfect, round and plumb. The silk is fresh with a crisp, smooth hand. Fabric/care label is attached. Not a boutique sale scarf. The scarf measures approximately 27" x 26.75" (68.6cm x 67.3cm).
An outstanding Hermès to wear and show, especially when tied as a bandana. Looks great with jeans or dressier attire. This scarf's colorway shouts look at me! Comes in its original Hermès box with its bolduc (ribbon) box tie.
