"Les Chevaux Se Rendent Au De̒part" or "The Horses Will Go To The Start" was designed by French horseman and equestrian illustrator, Laurent Cresp, and was issued by Hermès in 2001 only as 100% cotton 70cm petit carre̒s and 42cm gavroches. His design depicts a colorful array of virtual jockeys clad in their silks, with helmets and riding crops, all apparently heeding the call to make their way to starting positions for the next race.
The bright and cheerful colorway is comprised of a white background with design details in tones of brick, blue, turquoise, mauve, lilac, mint, yellow, orange and green with touches of taupe and cocoa.
