"Casques et Plumets" or "Helmets and Plumes," a designed created by renowned Hermès artist, Julia Abadie, and first issued by Hermès as part of the 1989/90 fall/winter "Viva La France" themed collection. Her design depicts a collection of of four 19th century French cavalry helmets in addition to a troop of French horsemen riding in formation in the design's background. The design bears her signature (see, photo 5). This design was reissued by Hermès as part of its 2012 collection. This scarf is a 2012 reissue, purchased new from a Hermès Boutique on December 12, 2012 (see receipt, photo 8). This scarf has never been used, has been carefully stored in its box since its purchase, and only removed from its box to inspect and to take photos for this listing.
The colorway is comprised of a dusty fuchsia/cerise hue border surrounding a rosewood inner border with design details rendered in pinks, white and grey.
This scarf is in 10 out of 10, new with its tag, mint and unused condition (see our condition scale for reference). There are no stains, spots, holes, thread snags or thread runs. The hems are intact, tight and plump. The silk presents a boutique fresh, crisp, smooth hand. The fabric/care label is attached. This scarf is not a boutique "final sale" item. This scarf measures 35.25" x 35" (89.5cm x 88.9cm).
