"Tatouage Jungle Love" or "Jungle Love Tattoo" is a an exotic animal themed design by the talented French animal artist, Robert Dallet, printed in a monochrome colorway like a tattoo issued by Hermès as part of its 2016 Spring/Summer "Year of Eden" themed collection. This design is a modern, hip reissue of Dallet's 2000 "Jungle Love." The design depicts two affectionate leopards eyeing each other amorously in a heart shaped jungle clearing. Hermès tatouage scarves are printed on very special and rare Abeilles [honey bee] woven pattern jacquard silk twill, and should become much beloved and collectible due to the fact that Hermès not longer produces jacquard woven silks except for very special issues, having found jarquard silks too expensive to weave for most issues over the last 15 years or so. The jacquard woven pattern will shimmer and catch the light when worn, so glamorous.
The casually elegant, monochrome colorway is comprised of midnight blue on a white jacquard silk background. The scarf has contrasting hems/edgings in midnight blue.
This scarf is in a 9, pristine, lightly used, like new condition (see our condition scale for reference). There are no stains, spots, holes, thread snags or thread runs. The hems/edgings are intact and plump. The silk is crisp, fresh and clean with a vintage smooth hand. The fabric/care label is attached. The scarf measures 35.25" x 35" (89.5cm x 88.9cm). This scarf comes in its original Hermès gift box with shop card.
This design in this colorway, even though issued just last year, has sold out, due to its stunning appearance and being issued in limited quantities. Do not miss this rare opportunity to add this spectacular Hermès to your wardrobe.
