  • "Les Mythologies Des Hommes Rouges" or "The Mythologies of the Red Men." This Hermès design, issued in 1999, was created by the renown artist, Mr. Kermit Oliver, a native Texan, and the only American artist ever engaged by Hermès to create designs for their scarves and to be used on Hermès clothing and jewelry items . His art works have become some of the most desired and collected Hermès designs today, this design included.

The design depicts Native American religious and tribal images in an amazing and detailed colorway of sky blue, honey yellow, white, ecru, royal blue and navy with accent colors of sage, hunter green, taupe, cinnabar, silver and tobacco. The scarf has contrasting hems/edgings in white.

This vintage scarf is in new 10 out of 10 mint, unused condition (see our condition scale for reference). There are no stains, spots, discolorations, pin holes, thread snags or thread runs. The hems are intact, tight, and plump. The fabric/care label is attached. The silk is crisp, fresh and smooth. The colors are perfect. The scarf's actual dimensions are 35.5" x 35" (90cm x 88.9cm).

In true collector's condition, this particular Hermès is a true work of art to own to wear, show or collect. Comes in its original Hermès box.
