“Le Roy Soleil” or “ The Sun King” designed by one of Hermes' most beloved and prolific scarf designers, the talented Annie Faivre. Her design, first issued by Hermès as part of its 1994 "Year of the Sun" themed collection, was inspired by French King, Louis XIV, who was also know as the ‘The Sun King.’
This specimen presents a beautiful navy blue, red and gold colorway plus silver, ivory, light yellow and light orange accents.
The scarf is in vintage 8.25/10, excellent, rarely worn condition (see our condition scale for reference). There are no spots, stains, holes, thread snags or thread runs. The fabric/care tag is attached and the hems are all intact, round and plump. The silk is fresh with a crsip smooth hand. There are just several short, light, discreet marks that should never be noticed when the scarf worn or show (see photo 6). This scarf measures 35" x 35" (88.9cm x 88.9cm).
A rare, sought after design, it would make fabulous and stylish addition to your wardrobe. No box comes with this scarf, but be assured we will carefully pack and pad it for damage-free shipping.
